The link between children’s health and the mining
industry may not seem obvious.
But to us, it’s absolutely clear. That’s because our world-class medical teams use state-of-the-art equipment incorporating precious metals such as titanium to improve the lives of hundreds of thousands of children every year.
A world-class centre of medical excellence
Opened in 1956, the Red Cross War Memorial Children’s Hospital in Cape Town remains a cornerstone of child healthcare in Southern Africa. It is exclusively dedicated to children and manages 250 000 patient visits each year.
But world-class medical care and state-of-the art equipment cost money and so does training and research. Through the Children’s Hospital Trust, the Hospital is continuously raising the funds it needs to ensure that it is equipped to keep delivering international standards of healthcare to African children.
Support us and Leave Your Mark on Life
The Children’s Hospital Trust recently launched #Leave_YourMark on Life, a campaign designed to raise R150 million over the next two years to fund a range of critical projects at the Hospital. So, while you take care of the earth’s most precious resources from below the ground, you may wish to consider supporting our efforts to care for an equally precious resource: our children – the future leaders
If you’d like to find out more about becoming one of our Leave Your Mark on Life donors, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org or 021 686 7860.
That way, we can secure the future of Africa’s most precious resources together.
